Winter tires, wheels and sensors: see what is included in a Ford Winter Performance Package and how to choose an approved setup for your vehicle.
A winter tire purchase starts with the tires, but there is more to a complete winter setup. The wheels need to fit your vehicle, and the tire pressure monitoring sensors need to be compatible too. A Ford Winter Performance Package brings those pieces together in one approved package.
If you are getting ready for winter in Gander, Grand Falls-Windsor or elsewhere in Central Newfoundland, here is what the package includes, how the current Ford Rewards offer works, and what to ask before choosing your setup.
What is included in the package
A qualifying Ford Winter Performance Package includes:
- Four Ford-approved dedicated winter tires.
- Four Ford-approved steel or aluminum wheels.
- Four Ford-approved Motorcraft tire pressure monitoring system sensors, also called TPMS sensors.
That makes it a complete tire-and-wheel package. A purchase of tires alone is different from a qualifying Winter Performance Package. The tires, wheels and sensors must all be approved for the vehicle and meet the program requirements.
Why choose a separate set of winter wheels
With a separate winter wheel set, your winter tires stay mounted on their own wheels. Seasonal changes can then involve changing the wheel assemblies rather than removing one set of tires from your everyday wheels and mounting another.
Steel and aluminum wheels are both options within the program. Parts can explain which approved choices fit your vehicle and help you compare their appearance and suitability. You can also ask what installation and setup involve, so you know what is included in your quote.
Kelly Ford offers seasonal tire storage at both locations. If finding space at home is part of the decision, ask Parts about the storage arrangements when discussing your package.
The right fit matters
A wheel diameter alone does not tell the whole story. Your model year, trim and vehicle equipment can affect which combination is appropriate. Parts will need your vehicle details, and your VIN is a useful place to start.
Already have winter tires or a second set of wheels? Mention that before requesting a package. The team can explain your options and check whether the proposed purchase qualifies. An existing set should not be assumed to meet the requirements for the current offer.
Winter tires are built for colder conditions
Transport Canada explains that dedicated winter tires retain flexibility in colder temperatures and recommends fitting winter tires in a matching set of four. Choosing the right tires is part of preparing for winter; it does not remove the need to adjust your driving to the road conditions.

The Ford Rewards offer
From October 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027, eligible Ford Rewards members can earn 30,000 Bonus Points with the purchase of a qualifying Winter Performance Package.*
The offer is available for eligible packages purchased with a new vehicle, as well as qualifying purchases for eligible used or already-owned vehicles. You do not have to be buying a new Ford to ask about the program. Ford Rewards membership and approved vehicle fitment are required.

If you are buying a vehicle, speak with your sales consultant about a Winter Performance Package as part of that purchase. They can explain whether adding the package to your purchase or payment arrangements is an option for your situation.
