As 2025 draws to a close, 2026 models are starting to make their debut one by one. While it doesn’t undergo any major transformation, the Bronco Sport still receives a fresh round of updates for the new model year.
The Ford Bronco Sport has grown significantly in popularity since its market debut in 2021. That success has allowed the American automaker to expand the lineup with more capable off-road trims and even a few special editions. The 2026 model year is no exception, bringing new exterior colors, a Bronze Appearance Package, and a few minor updates to features that were already available.
There are no changes to the overall trim lineup, which is great news since the current range already meets the needs of most buyers. In other words, you can still choose from the Big Bend, Heritage, Outer Banks, and Badlands trims.
What’s New
Let’s start with the Bronze Package, which, as the name suggests, adds bronze-colored accents to the Bronco Sport’s design. This includes a set of 17-inch alloy wheels, bronze badging, and several trim elements like the grille and fender vents. The cabin also gets subtle upgrades, with bronze touches on the dashboard, door panels, stitching, and other small details. This new package is available on the Big Bend trim and can also be paired with the Black Diamond Package. It’s compatible with several colors, including Oxford White, Shadow Black, Carbonized Gray, Velocity Blue, Iconic Silver, and Azure Gray.
Mechanically, the 2026 Ford Bronco Sport carries over the same powertrains. The base engine is a 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder producing 180 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque. The upgrade option is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder delivering 238 horsepower and 277 lb-ft of torque.
Pricing for the 2026 model will be announced in the coming weeks, but a slight increase is expected. What’s most intriguing, however, is how much Ford will charge for the new Bronze Package which, in my opinion, is bound to be a big hit as soon as the model launches.
