2026 Ford Mustang: A Retro FX Package

2025-06-12

The arrival of the seventh-generation Mustang marked a bold leap into the future, with extreme modernization and cutting-edge technology. Yet Ford’s engineers managed to weave in a touch of nostalgia with a digital dashboard design inspired heavily by the legendary Fox Body Mustang.

It seems the 1980s are making a strong comeback, as Ford now introduces a new FX package that also pays homage to that era.

This time, it’s not just a custom dashboard mode, but a bold and flashy appearance package.

What stands out the most is the new Adriatic Blue paint color.

The new FX package will be available exclusively for the GT model, in both coupe and convertible versions. One of its most striking features is the use of Oxford White accents found throughout the car—on the 5.0 badge, the pony emblem, and even parts of the grille. The FX package also includes a choice between two 19-inch wheel designs inspired by those found on third-generation Mustangs.

The upgrades continue inside, where the cabin receives its fair share of exclusive touches. The Recaro seats feature a unique design with plaid-patterned fabric in the center sections. The interior also benefits from contrast stitching in City Silver and Adriatic Blue, adding an extra layer of refinement.

Elsewhere in the lineup, the vibrant Orange Fury paint color makes a return. The American sports car also gains new customization options for 2026, including orange or blue seatbelts and new decorative stripes. The 2026 Ford Mustang now offers more personalization choices than ever before.

In my opinion, this new FX package is likely to be very popular, as it brilliantly celebrates the third-generation Mustang—a move that’s sure to strike a chord with nostalgic fans.
